As the dwarf speaks to him, Umbraxas looks down upon him with yet another scowl. He opens his mouth to respond when he is cut off by the scream that tore through the air, a sound he knew all too well. He begins walking hurriedly with purpose in his stride to where the scream came from, his long legs covering ground faster than most. He turns into the alleyway and stops short as he almost plows into a group of people standing there. His hard gaze runs over the group, taking in the situation. He quickly surmises what just occurred, seeing as how the orcs were in an aggressive stance and the woman looked slightly fearful. He turns his attention back to the orcs just as one of them strikes the dwarf he met earlier in the face. Growling in anger, he draws both of the hand axes at his waist and holds them in a threatening manner. He hated bullies.
Umbraxas says to the orcs in his rumbling voice, "Like the lady said, if you apologize to the dwarf and leave, I'll let you leave with your heads. If not..." He hefts his axes threateningly.
The first orc doesn't react with his body, the dagger still lay at the halfling's throat. "You think that's a reason to back down? Chop off my head, and I chop off his first." His eyes direct towards Halfast.

"I'm sorry, but...could we have some tea? No, that won't work. Just try attacking me."
Polly peeks around the corner of a tent, watching a fight beginning. She sees the orcs shrug off a bit of familiar magic. "She had a good idea, let's try again."Her hand twists and casts hold person at fourth level on the two orcs, holding them in place on a failed DC 15 WIS save.
She also extends her hand and a longsword appears in it, her grip familiar and easy.
The woman suddenly reappears where she last was. "Well that wasn't the weirdest encounter of my life. Thank you anyways." She takes the hood off of her head, she is revealed as a green dragonborn with a face of beauty, especially for her own race. Her eyes are a bright shade of brown with her two reptilian pupils in the center. The most visible feature of her is the scar on her neck, where several of her scales are missing. "I didn't think much of you guys at first glance, but from what I saw for the first few moments, there's definitely more to you than it appears. Come with me, there's something I want to tell you." She pulls the hood back over her head, and heads back out into the plaza.
Polly steps forward. She turns to the human who'd cast just before her and says, "you loosened it for me,"and winks. Addressing the group, she says more loudly, "So! What's going on here? Some simple robbery, or something more interesting, I wonder."
She suggests to anyone listening that perhaps the orcs might be restrained, as they won't be held for long. When the potential victim pops back into view, she nods in thanks at Halfast, then addresses the woman. "Allo love! Name's Polly. These fellas just want your gold? Do you know them?"
She looks to see if the woman has a scar on her neck, remembering the flyer.

"Princess Lirah. Why are you missing?" The halfling follows Lirah.
"Princess Lirah. Why are you missing?" The halfling follows Lirah.
The woman continues down a straight path, apparently heading towards the castle ruins. Before answering the question, she looks around to see if anyone's listening, then looks down at the halfling. "Well, I'm not actually missing as in the kidnapped way, but I'll tell you about it when we're in private." She continues down the road until she reaches the ruins of the castle. "This used to be the castle of a kingdom that existed long before DragonEye, it was ruled by a wise king, but it has fallen catastrophically one day, and these ruins are all that's left of it, not even its name survived." She moves through the rubble until she comes across a battered up door, then opens it. The door leads down a dark passageway that appears to go into what used to be a cellar. A single battered table covered in dust and rubble lay in the middle, she wipes off the table and sits down in a chair. "So, what was it you were asking?"

"Oh, right, why I'm missing. So I've been noticing something different about my father; He's been acting strange ever since the civil war started. He was saying things like 'The war will bring new beginnings' and 'these people are so pathetic, they kill each other for no reason'. I could tell somethings gotten into him, and he has been trying to get me on his side, so I snuck out of the castle to get help, even though I knew people would search for me, I had to get help, so I searched across this kingdom, but nobody was strong enough to help. Please hear me out. Could you go to the castle and try to talk some sense into my father. He won't listen, but he may listen to someone else."

"Perhaps, although the tall folk are not quick to listen."
Sry it didn't update and still thought I had to make the intimidation check ignore that.
(Well, its a little too late now.)
"Thank you, there's a gate in the top tower that should take you to the ruins of the castle town, you can use that to get there and back without getting killed."
Mason is about to grab the ruffians and tie them up when the group begins to follow the ... oh, it is the missing princess! He leaves the orcs in statuesque pose and follows. He is cautious as the climb the rubble and then enter the broken down castle.
Hearing the princess's request he says "First why would you trust a task of this magnitude to a ..." He looks at the group and sighs "... group of misfits like us who don't even know each other? And Second, how are we to gain audience with the King? I have great confidence in my skills and reliability but ..." again looking around at the group " ... who are all of you?"
Polly walks up to the two orcs as Lirah leads the group away, smiles at them, and boops each one on the nose. "Try changing professions, otherwise, you might get hurt."
She grins, and then skips off with the rest of the group. When she arrives and hears Lirah's story, she says, "Sense sure is in short supply these days. I'm happy to try talking sense into him, but what will you be doing in the meantime? Also, your dad seems confused -- perhaps hopeful about the war bringing 'new beginnings' and also angry at the 'pathetic' people fighting it for no reason? Are you saying he wants the war to continue? I know very well the tragedy of the fighting -- it's helped shape me into who I am, and I'm not sure what I really think about that."
She pauses, looking around at the group. "What about the rest of you?"
After hearing Lirah's story, Cayasinia wants to investigate further. Hearing what Mason said, Caya smiles. "The names Cayasinia Linxakasendalor, daughter of Aprax Linxakasendalor. I'm a clan chief's daughter. I suppose you might consider me a noble. The king might agree to hear me out. And group of misfits we may be, but the half-elf is right. The war can't continue. And we must be the ones to stop it, I will gladly fight by your side. I ventured from my home to make a difference and right injustices. What better way than ending a war?"
Caya smiles, looking every bit a noble with her shiny golden scales gleaming as she looks at each member of their little group in turn. "Where are you all from, and what do you believe in?"

"Everybody calm down." The halfling mutters from underneath the dragonborn's feet, trying to send the woman to a safe place.

The orc says to the halfling "Shut It! Where i-" then suddenly, he and his friend are frozen in place, both of their eyes are widened.
"That went better than expected." Halfast ends concentration on banishment.
