Gathering the things she found, Noell quietly asks if anyone wants anything. "I can't do anything with this flute, and well... they didn't have much money to speak of." She tests the heft of the scimitars out, saying, "I could use these, but if someone else needs one, just let me know. The only thing I really want to be sure of is that this fellow doesn't get ahold of any of their weapons." She spends some time looking at the worn hairbrush, before glancing at the woman's body, and quietly pocketing it. "Sorry," she murmurs under her breath, being sure to close the woman's eyes before she stands.
"I'll stand guard at the tunnel," she tells the others, giving Vahorn an angry frown as he prepares the splinters of wood.
(Keeping watch, perception: 5. Also, everyone can add 3 copper coins to their inventory. Anyone who wants it can also add a flute. Let me know if anyone wants the scimitars, otherwise Noell might start dual wielding them for the time being.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Lia walks over to Noell and places gentle hand on her shoulder. "The first time is never fun,"she mutters so the others can't hear, "But you did what you had to."Giving her a small, sympathetic smile, she moves to stand sentry at whichever tunnel Noell isn't watching.
Lia's words are a balm, but also a breaking of the barrier Noell had carefully built to shield herself from the reality of the death she'd caused. She spends her "watch" crying silently to herself, unable to hear anything either down passage, or happening with the prisoner behind her.
“Better? This is nothing next to the ‘research’ your peers carry out here.” Vahorn creases his brow at Hayeth’s judgement “Animals are pure, you could do well to be more like one. It’s people who have evil in their hearts.”
After he removes the splint, he heads over to check on the snake, feeding it some scraps of meat as he listens intently to the man’s interrogation. “May we meet again little one, and I may slay you under fairer circumstance.”
Hayeth grits her teeth, those who are watching her directly would notice that her incisors grow almost into fangs, her ears grow longer and more exadurated like a creature from the fey wild and her hair becomes wilder and less controlled, before she takes a breath and quickly returns back to the the normal half elven form.
"Now is not the time Vahorn!" she growls "We don't have time to argue over who is right or wrong, we need information... and quietly we don't know what else is in these tunnels and a screaming man is bound to draw attention" she breathes again "The matter of my 'peers' we can discuss later but for now let me and Dumasz handle this"

Not paying attention to Hayeth’s transformation, or even picking up on her tone, Vahorn continues to shower the snake with affection as he responds bluntly. “A discussion? No thanks. Maybe someone else will join you in that, not my thing. I have a gag if that was your concern.”
"Hey Vahorn," Lia calls over, finally turning around when the arguing gets to be a bit too much. "Why don't you make yourself useful and keep watch on this tunnel?" There's no malice in her tone, but she also seems to be more telling than asking. Crossing the chamber, she stands next to Noell at the other exit, hoping to both offer a comforting presence while she processes everything and keep watch in her stead.
Hayeth unclenches her fists removing her nails from the new cuts in her palms, looks to Lia nodding with a tired smile and mouths "Thank you" and then returns her attention to the man she's trying to revive
Vahorn grabs the snake by it’s tail taking it over to the exit tunnel and letting it slither off. “My eyes and ears are ready, I’m sure none of us would be useful if this one got us while our backs were turned.”
Readying his bow at the opposite tunnel, Vahorn glances down it, his ears pricking up. Perception 23 He checks for tracks, to see how many people have been up and down here Survival 15
Dumasz watches the disagreement impassively before nodding to Hayeth. “That was well handled. But I don’t know any half elves that do that, and can’t see in the dark. We will discuss it later.” He looks at various places on your face as he talks before turning back to the captive.
Seeing the others handling themselves well, Noell feels a sense of shame wash over her. "I really am a small town girl after all," she mutters, furiously wiping at her eyes. Sniffing noisily, she straightens up and tries to recover from her lapse. "... Did anyone manage to wake that man yet? I really think we should find out what these two were doing, and if they have friends here." She swallows her nervousness at the idea that she might have to kill more people.
Hayeth looks up from the unconcious man to Noell and smiles allthough still weakly and with a note of nervousness to it "He breathes, but I think it is beyond my skills to awaken him, Lia gave him quite a wolloping, not to mention the fire"
OOC: I read up on medicine I don't think we can actually in rules as written wake him quickly without magical healing or the healer feat but we can stabalise him (Unless Char wants to overule that)

Hayeth gives him a warm smile sitting cross legged on the floor across from him "I am glad to see you are alive, tell me can you understand what I am saying?"
She will wait for a response and if it is an affirmative one says"Then I must tell you, you are in a bit of a predicament, there is one among us who is more than willing to spill your guts on the floor"
She looks at Vahorn breifly before looking back to the man "I would rather not, but I do need your cooperation if you could answer a few questions then I'm sure we can reach an arangement where you are allowed to leave"
She then waits for his response.

“Defeat is not without honor. Tell her about the children. The girl is your way back to life. No one sympathizes with a man obsessed with snakes. Anyone can find leniency in their hearts for a man who still cares about children.”
The alien hiss of the man‘s language makes Noell recoil, and does much to erode the sympathy she had; it‘s easier to consider him as something other than human when he refuses to act like one, after all. She holds up the hairbrush and glares at him, holding a finger up to her lips. That same finger then travels to her throat and drags across it slowly, the message clear, without the use of language. If that message is uneffective, Noell will simply gag him with one of her spare sacks.
“Is that even a language?“ she asks the others.
