Lostur your blade sinks deep into the Hags side doing some serious damage. She pulls away from your second blow but the first was enough to have her gasping for breath. She crouches low clutching her side to avoid both of the mighty swings from you halberd Lorvax, but then with practices flick of the shaft you bring the butt of the weapon round and crack her in the side of the head.
The hag screams in fury and tries once more to cast ray of enfeeblement on you Lorvax. CON 14 Save.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Dex : 18 The Hag cackles with wicked delight as she moves out of the way of your sacred flame Brenvull.
Kray you cut the crones laughter short as your blade slices down through the side of her neck and into her shoulder and chest. She is looking rough now. She staggers back at the force of your smite. Your second strike falls short as she tries to scramble back away from you.
Lostur and Lorvax back to you!
(Remember that Con save for ray of enfeeblement Lorvax)
Furiously, Lostur begins to froth at the mouth and swing wildly, completely enraged that he can't land two decent hits on the hag. His wild swings do nothing other than to alarm his spirit weasels, however, who relegate their attempts to damage the hag simply to holding her back and preventing her from regenerating
Attack 1: 11 Attack 2: 9
(the player is reacting much like Lostur right now)
Lorvax once more attempts to shrug off the foul hag's magics. Unfortunately this time he feels his strength begin to leave him; he tries to tighten his grip on his halberd which now feels heavy in his hands. "Foul witch!"he curses,"You will be purged!"
Lostur you blades swing this way and that but to no avail. This slippery hag is just out of reach every time.
Lorvax for a moment you feel your strength sap away but then the Hags eyes widen as her concertation slips and you find yourself swinging at full steam. Your blade opens up her gut from neck to navel and as her stinking innards drop to the ground you slam the butt of your weapon home with such might that it cracks her skull and sends her lifeless husk smashing into the far wall.
The hag is dead and you all awake in the shrine room and to your utter relief the shrine has been returned to its rightful place!
OOC: Spot on and yeah that Hag was a slippery ***** for sure. Especially when it came to her magic resistances.
1 Temple Entrance
2 The Holy Oil
3-6 The Claws of Bahamut (The shrines should be cleansed in this order)
7-8 The Wings of Bahamut (The two upper shrines)
9 The eye of Bahamut (The final shrine)
Brenvull you go to work as before and with the support of your fellows you do a fine job of cleansing the shrine. You feel a real sense of well being as the hags foul influence is removed from this place and once again the power of Bahamut infuses you all. A golden glow emanates from the shrine itself and blesses you all with haste for the next ten minutes.
Lostur, who suddenly just remembered that he could vengefully assault things that made him hurt, is suddenly energized. "One more shrine before we take a breather? Whatddaya say?" He points to the stairs leading to the first "claw" of Bahamut.
"I am still ready to go So let's go If you need some healing I could cast something on our way there" Brenvull says in one breath as he starts making his way to the next shrine (5)
Arriving at the next shrine you are greeted with yet another unexpected sight. While you are relieved to see the shrine where it should be this time, it has been surrounded by three tall mirrors; all set against the wall and facing inward toward the shrine. Glancing back, you also note that as you enter the room all the wandering spirits within the main temple stop and slowly begin to turn toward you. For the first time since entering this place it seems that they are aware of your presence, if only vaguely.
"... That doesn't look good," Lostur says of the mirrors. He glances back over his shoulder at the spirits and shivers a bit, then scowls. "So whadda we gotta do? Break those mirrors?" He squints, then crouches down low, pulling out one of his pitons. Tongue sticking out, he adjusts the angle and aims, then, with a strong push, sends the piton skittering inwards into the room towards the shrine, checking to see if anything happens to it on the way to hitting the base of the shrine pedestal.
Lostur straightens up and holds up a finger-gun pointed at one of the mirrors, then looks to the others. "Blasty time?" he asks, a mote of dark eldritch energy dancing on his fingertip.
Kray you sword whistles toward the hag, but quick as lightning she springs back with a hiss and avoids the cut.
Lostur and Lorvax back to you!

Lostur chases after the slippering hag, yelling as he hacks and stabs away wildly. "Stay still, you old biddy!"

He gnashes his teeth in frustration as his second attack misses, again.
Spurred on by the fact that the hag was showing signs of injury, Lorvax once more swung down with his halberd.

A bit disappointed that the guiding bolt went wide Brenvull casts Sacred flame (DC 14 dex or 6 radiant damage) again.
Muttering the power word that will ignite her sword, Kray tries to cut deep the hag.

Lostur sits heavily on his butt and lets out a sigh of relief. "I need a nap," he complains wearily. "Let's clean that thing up first, though."
Brenvull, a bit frustrated that he didn't really contribute to the latest battle, immediately starts preparing the ritual to make up for that.
