(Lostur is happy to go in first or second, like the punching bag that he is XD He has a bit of HP drain still but he's not going to let that stop him...)
"Should I go in first?" Lostur asks the others, looking at the entrance to the shrine.
You enter the shrine room and see the shrine sitting there seemingly unspoiled in the centre of the chamber. The only unusual thing about this room is a large oak chest sitting against the far wall.
"Sorry guys. That undead really got me in the head. I should have tried to smite these creatures" Brenvull is visibly ashamed by his actions. Trying to make up for his inaction he follows behind Lostur directly. Seeing the shrine is still there he says: "Shall we just start with cleansing this shrine? Or do you guys want to look in that chest first? I would rather just get on with it."
Religion check for if we just start cleansing: 23 (if advantage because of help: 13)
"Could the defilers had decided to use this shrine as a storage room?" ask Kray to the others. Still, after the last experience with the mirrors she doesn't move to inspect or touch it before other precautions are made.
Visibly on edge from his experiences so far, Lorvax tentatively enters the room with the others. "Given that the other shrines have all contained traps in... I would not trust this place." He declares boldly, hoping to hide his fright. Lorvax was used to physical traps, which could be set to hunt creatures, these were all something more and it felt deeply un-natural to him.
He looks at Brenvull, taking comfort in the fact that the cleric was present and able cleanse this place of any evil,"Might it be best to cleanse the shrine first? The chest seems like a trap."
((Any chance that Lorvax would be able to check out the chest without touching it - for any clear signs of physical traps (he wouldn't have a clue if they were magical!). Investigation: 19))
"Is that really a chest? I don't believe it," Lostur grunts, striding towards it. He stops about 10 feet away from the chest, and puffs his own chest out. Then he lets out a mighty roar.
"If you're some kinda foul creature pretendin' ta be a chest and waitin' to eat us, I got news for you! I'm gonna make you into firewood before you get a chance!" He whips out his yklwa and points it menacingly at the inanimate object, heedless of Lorvax's attempts to treat the chest like a normal chest.
Intimidation to scare the chest into revealing its nefarious intent: 23
You perform the ritual cleansing under Brenvulls guidance and yet again you feel the warm presence of Bahamut washing over you. Yet again Lostur you feel the shadow you bear resisting that glowing light that longs to infuse your soul. As the effect comes to an end the room glows with a silver light and strangely you all hear a soft jingling sounds emanating from your packs. Almost as if your money pouches are being shook.
You all turn then to study the chest. Lorvax you notice that the silver light has not quite passed from its surface and it appears to be pulsing as if trying to fight off the glow. Lostur you step closer and release your roar and with a sharp crack like wood splintering it simply pops out of existence.
OOC: cleansing the shrine first was a good call! And the religion check just enough :D
Lostur stares at the place where the chest used to be dumbly. "First time I ever shouted anything to death," he mumbles, wondering if he should feel proud or not. Turning around, he looks at ghostly figures in the shrine. "You think they're getting any closer to peace?" he asks uncertainly, rubbing the back of his neck, uncomfortable by the prickly feeling of being weighted down by some darkness that he can't quite understand.
Brenvull checks his moneypouch. "Sounds like we got holy coins! Bahamut be blessed"
"Nicely done Lostur, I wouldn't have thought of that approach." Brenvull then joins Lostur at looking at the ghosts. "I feel they get better, they seem less disconnected to where we are. Let us continue on with the cleansing. Does anyone need the healing powers of Bahamut before we continue on?"
Brenvull would happily walk into the next shrine first or second if we continue on.
Kray nods and puts her clawded hand in Lostur's shoulder.
"I think it's working. They have stopped and they look at us now, but I do not feel ill or discontent, quite the contrary. Bahamut is with us. And remember not to got you angry at me.. those yelling can seriously kill anyone! " she smiles at his friend and follows Brenvull to the next shrine.
Lorvax goes to where the chest was and feels the space tentatively with his foot. "How did you do that Lostur?!"he asks in amazement. "I shall feel a great deal better once the taint has been removed from this place - I am sure the spirits here will too."
"Responsive aggression regulation therapy," Lostur answers Lorvax, shouldering his weapon and moving on. He rubs his eyes, feeling the strain of the day beginning to take its toll on him. "Let's keep going. I'm tired, but they look more tired," he grumbles, still feeling something like survivor's guilt weighing him down from the staring spirits.
Brenvull you check your money pouch and all your coins have turned to platinum.
You all make your way to the north west corned of the temple. You notice as you go that the spirits begin to slowly follow you. Some of them seem to be trying to speak to you, but no sound emerges. The claws of Bahamut have been cleansed; now for the first of the two shrines known as the wings.
You all enter the chamber and are greeted with the sight of a sleeping Demogorgon sprawled on the ground between you all and the shrine. It's two heads fill the chamber with the rumble of snoring and a wicked looking morning star hangs limply from one of its hands.
Lostur hangs back. "Stealthy isn't my specialty. You leave me to hit it when it wakes up," he says, allowing the rest of the team to lead the way.
Lostur makes ready to try to intimidate the Demogoron with a fierce stare and perhaps a few choice words of Lostur-style-wisdom, should it wake up and try to attack anyone.

"Be my guest" says Kray with a smile.

Lostur grips his yklwa tightly and walks in slowly, ready to dodge at the first sign of danger.

Kray stops and motions the others to recoil to be able to speak without weaking up the creature.
"It seems that we still have the element of surprise..." she whispers " But I do not think we could sneak up it, at least not all of us... "

Lorvax instantly drops into his hunter / tracker mode as Kray motions towards the creature.
He tries to recollect whether he had seen, or read, about a creature like this before.

“Better try to start by cutting its claw so it cannot grab it back...” suggest Kray

"We would need an implement sharp enough to sever the claw" Lorvax thinks aloud. "We could always try dousing it in oil and setting it on fire."
