Backstory: Tender grew up in a monastery at the edge of the desert. She was happy there; it was honest work with people she loved. Then, the monsters came, and the monastery fell. No one knows how Tender survived, only that she was found in the desert, wounded, but alive, and the last of her order. Despite being offered a home in the village at the foot of the monastery, Tender decided it was better she leave, unable to handle the memories. So she struck out on her own, determined to find out where the monsters who attacked her monastery came from, and to end them as they had ended her.
Background: Torman always felt out of place in the halls of Mirabar. While other dwarves studied mining or soldiery, he could often be found with his nose in a book. He took an interest in magic at an early age, after hearing stories of Elminster and other wizards from throughout Toril. He longed to go up against the evil Red Wizards of Thay, explore the wonders of Myth Drannor, and fight evil dragons. To this end, he advanced quickly in his studies, but gained very little practical knowledge of the world beyond his library. Now, after years of study and perfecting his spells, Torman longs for adventure. With rumors spreading about a Cult of the Dragon and their attempt to raise the evil Tiamat, Torman feels it is time to introduce himself to the world of Toril and put an end to the Cult's evil plans.
Backstory: Raised in the circus, Wagner comes from a close knit family and community. He grew tired of living purely for the entertainment of others and set off to try to see what good he could do in the world.
Duncan grew up in Arabel, a fortified city in Cormyr. From a poor family, he took to fighting as a way to earn his living, though he found the city guard boring and the prospect of life as a soldier equally stifling. Thankfully he came across the Company of Dawn one night in the Bent Bow tavern, and they took him in as one of their own. Looking up to the fearless leader, Thurbrand of the Stonelands, Duncan soon pledged allegiance to the Dawn and began his career as a mercenary.
One day, Duncan returned to the city from his first extended assignment, flush with coin and ready to celebrate his success, he learned that Thurbrand had left the city to help a friend in Shadowdale. The Time of Troubles made strength of arms a high-demand profession with magic being so unreliable, and Duncan gained greatly in experience while Thurbrand was gone. Though the Company of Dawn leader returned with but few mercenaries, Duncan helped rejuvenate the organization in Arabel, becoming a trusted lieutenant in the organization, and even settling down and getting married.
That was when the dragon attacks began. Returning from the field after fighting off the encroachment of the dragon cultists with his mercenary friends, Damon found his home aflame; his wife and unborn child charred within. He could stay no longer in Arabel, but took his leave of the Company of Dawn to hunt down every last dragon cultist and find the evil dragon behind his family's demise. Following trails of destruction and rumors of cultist activity, Duncan eventually finds himself on the Sword coast, hot on the trail of the "Cult of the Dragon", though he knows that by himself he has little chance of taking down such a powerful organization...Hmm....Where could some like-minded allies be found?
