Satisfied that everyone has a cat with them, Bely leaves, looking for something else to do "careful with the monster, I call it the Phantomorph."
You depart to the ruins of Halark's Stonefist. A white stoned castle that is in a massive state of disrepair. The few red roofs still standing are full of holes or half collapsed. Weeds grow everywhere, and the highest tower is toppled over to the side.
Looking around you see a small trail of footprints, probably belonging to Bely, that end in a small hole in the walls. It seems too small for any of you to crawl through.
Are there any other ways in?. I am but a humble cleric, and not so well versed in the finer points of military strategy, but I'm thinking a tower with one entrance is more of a hazard to it's occupants, yes?
Squeaks! buzz purrr! Kibble dis way hoomin dis way kibble! Follow! purr buzz! Squeaks!
Squeaks sets forth looking for another way in, curiosity overcoming shyness for right now...
Luther cranes his neck to look around the site. "The whole place is collapsing and in ruin, so finding a way into the site should be no problem. I would suggest we avoid a main doorway of possible; just in case"
Luther looks for other points of entry: Perception 17
Clipper pads up to the small hole and looks inside. She looks back at Thariv and meows. Thariv moves up and crouches down beside her, squinting to look inside as well, wondering what might lie within the old ruin.
Squeaks enters the courtyard, there are no animals here, just a bunch of human buildings, and the cat soon returns next to Ryota.
Luther and Truffles notice that the eastern wall is crumbling away, providing enough handholds to make climbing possible. Truffles easily climbs it and stares at the half-orc below, as if daring him to follow.
Thariv and Clipper don't see anything interesting from their point of view.
Clipper trots off toward Luther and Truffles, and Thariv follows. Clipper climbs up near Truffles.
Thariv feels a dull pulsing from the shard of coral in his pocket as he watches; perhaps the source of power considers it a good idea to explore further.
Thariv looks at Luther and points toward the cats. "I guess we should follow their lead, eh?"
You cautiously climb the wall, making a few bricks fall on your way. From up there you see crumbling rock stairs coming down from the battlements on the inner side.
From up there you get a clear view of the courtyard. Buildings are in ruins, a small structure survives in the middle and two small ones on opposite corners. The main keep is easily distinguishable, as it easily occupies half of the space.
You don't see any aminals or people moving around.
"Sorry bud, you gotta climb yourself. You are too heavy." Ryo says to Cupcake, who is obviously displeased and meowed at him, to which he playfully squeezed the chonker's meaty paw. "Come on, you can do it. I'll buy you treats when we get back." Ryo reasons as if the large cat could understand him. Cupcake rolls its eyes, before agilely climbing up the wall, with nimbleness that didn't quite suit the cat's large body. Ryo chuckles and follows his cat.
Seeing no signs of danger, you move to the inner yard and start looking around. In the middle is a small watchhouse, arrowslits are visible on all walls. The door is missing and inside sits a big cauldron filled with trash.
One of the corner buildings is a stable that's pretty close to falling apart. The one on the opposite corner is made of stone, with an locked intact door still in place.
The main keep has a pair of massive timber doors. One of them lies flat in the ground. You don't see any light or movement inside.
A squirrel runs away as you enter the watchhouse. You see small footprints in the dust, Bely probably explored this building when he came here. Other than the big cauldron, there are traces of ash in the floor. You see no furniture here, just bare stone walls and dirt.
The cauldron is filled with torn rags and rotting scraps of food. Squeaks jumps and balances on the caouldron's edge, sniffs at its contents and jumps back down.
Looking around the watch house, Luther gets a hunch about the ash. He uses his tinderbox to light the cauldron's contents; at worst there will be a source of heat for the cats.
The rags in the cauldron produce a thick white smoke for a while before finally catching fire. The stench makes Truffles and Deathfang run outside to get fresh air.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Luther retreats from the unpleasant cloud and looks sheepish as he apologises to his companions. "I thought that might, I don't know, signal a way forward or something. I suppose I shall search elsewhere and be careful not to burn anything else"
He moves to the stable and checks it thoroughly, Truffles rooting through as well.

Luther appraises Truffles, distantly at first, then stoops over to give him a scruff under the chin. "Yeah, you're ok"
(OOC: Happy to bond with the little fella)

Anywhere a cat can go 4 people can follow =) One of us climbing at a time, yes?
Ryota climbs up 3rd, otherwise keeping a lookout for possible trouble...

We should probably check out the watch house first yes? Just to be safe?
Squeaks heads there, interested in the cauldron, or maybe it's contents...
"Sounds like a plan," Thariv replies. Clipper is already following Squeaks, so he moves along as well.
Luther agrees "That sounds like a good place to start. Truffles, fancy a run ahead to look?"
Saying nothing, the tortoiseshell tabby runs ahead. Truffles' perception 22

Sorry bout Squeaks. I thought there would be something here for you in this hut, but there doesn't appear to be anything...
In spite of the smoke choking and stinging Squeaks stays to look around some more, and ... something about the taste of the air....?
