Tine smiles and give a laugh as the situation unfolds "Well look at that." she says just looking at the birthday girl "Your champions came through."
As Lia comes up to her with her question and she gives a quick smiles as she lets her hair down "How about we all grab a celebratory drink and those conversation can come during that." she says chuckling as she wraps her arm around her friend. She just looks a the rest of the party and their opponents "How about it? Wanna join us for a drink?"
Tine, you recognize the halfling woman Cham Larringfass, the innkeeper at the Ramblehouse, where you and your mother work, as she approaches Ruby's champions. "That was wonderful, truly wonderful. Tine, I was hoping to ask you and your new friends to stay the night at the Ramblehouse, on me of course. I would love to host the champions of the evening."
Also, everybody roll an Investigation roll to see what local lore you gather during the rest of the party:
DC 5:
“The hopeknife is more than a weapon—it’s a symbol. To Trunauans, earning your hopeknife is a mark of your place in the community. When you earn your hopeknife, it means you are wise enough to make adult decisions, old enough to know what it means to fear, and strong enough to protect your neighbors, even if it costs you your own life.”
DC 10:
“Even though she’s the Chief Defender’s daughter, Ruby has to pledge to uphold the Standing Vow in order to receive her hopeknife, just like the rest of us. She must agree to hold Trunau against all comers and to never forfeit her homeland willingly. That is the Vow.”
DC 11:
“Rumor has it that Rodrik Grath is next in line for the position of patrol leader after his old man Jagrin retires. Jagrin’s a good commander, but he’s getting old, and it might be time for some new blood in the militia’s leadership.”
DC 12:
"Shame about the graffiti all over town. The militia’s got better things to do than clean up youngsters’ messes, but even stranger is how long it lasts. Try as one might, soap and water don’t do a thing to those marks!”
DC 14:
“Have you read Rodrik Grath’s latest work, ‘The Other Side of Contempt’? He’s our own home-grown writer. It’s a controversial poem, but that’s what makes Rodrik’s writing so strong—he’s not afraid to push limits.”
DC 16:
“Rodrik Grath is slated to replace his father as patrol leader, but from what I hear, he’s more concerned with his poems and plays than with militia matters. He’s diligent, don’t get me wrong, but I’m not quite sure either of the Grath boys is ready to lead the town’s defense.”
Part of Eira was wanting to chat with the two patrol brothers, Kurst and Rodrick, but honestly? A night getting to know Lia and Tine would be fun. She needed an excuse to get out of the militia barracks and get to know some others in town. "A drink sounds wonderful. I'd love to come. I've got plenty of militia gossip to share, if you both want the scoop on any of the lads there." She says the last bit with a smirk, and nods.
She'll leave the decision whether to join Cham at the Ramblehouse up to Lia and Tine, as she doesn't want to have to forfeit the socializing time and drinks for that!

Lia spends the night chit-chatting with various people around the place. She learns a good deal during that time, and gets friendly with one of the guards, spending quite a while at his table during the evening.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Tine just smiles at Cham "Thank you for the great offer. We would love to and if you need anyone to entertain tonight you can count on me."she says as she just gives the woman a hug. With that she orders a drink and begins to just chit-chat with some of the locals.
The four of you spend the night chatting with the locals, learning rumors they've heard and concerns that they have, and when the evening finally begins to die down, you find yourselves at the Ramblehouse, in one of its larger, four-bed rooms. You have this opportunity to talk among yourselves and get to know each other, or you can go right to bed.
Tine will walk around the bar conversing with people for a while before making her way to where Lia is. She'll just smile as she sits down next to her friend, a little red from the drinks that have gone into her "So today has been a fun day. Hear anything interest today?" she asks taking another swig of her drink.
Metzger will walk around the room as well, asking about the various rumors about giants in the area. He also orders a nice drink and chicken for his meal while occasionally watching the other party members.

During the evening, when Tine came to sit near her, Lia would tell Tine anything she has picked up during the evening. The only thing Tine wouldn't have heard of herself is...
"Did you hear them talking about Rodrik's writing?" Lia would ask Tine. "Guess he has a new one, ‘The Other Side of Contempt’?" She would nod to him, if he is nearby. "Guess it is a fairly controversial poem, but that’s why people like it. I haven't read it myself at this point though. They say he likes to push limits though, which is nice to know."
Once back in the room, she would sit up chit-chatting with anyone else who is up for talking.
Eventually, the four of you settle in for the night, and sleep the well-earned sleep of the evening's champions.
You wake up to a considerable amount of noise. Peering out your window to see what is going on, you see that a large crowd has formed outside the Ramblehouse. The people are talking excitedly, and you can see and hear more than one person crying.
"We should go and see what is going on." Lia says with a glance to Tine. "Do you think someone is hurt?" She would pull on some clothes, and move towards the door.
Eira will skeddadle on outside quickly, nodding to Lia as they move on out. "Agreed. Odd that they're all gathered out here... Wonder if some patrons have been acting up?"
"It's possible someone's hurt. With the crowd, makes it seem like someone died here." Eira's first order of business once getting out is looking for the guard to find out the situation.

Tine just rolls out of bed and begins to throw on her gear "Yeah probably should go look. Could be, or could be a fight." she says looking at Lia as the other begins to leave and then follows them.
Metzger, you don't have to go far to find someone crying; nor does Eira have to go far to find a guard. Out in the hall, you see Cham, eyes full of tears, talking hurriedly with a member of the militia. "...and his wrists were cut! Oh gods..!"
"Whose wrists were cut?" Lia asks as she walks up. She is combing fingers through her white-blond hair, trying to get the tussled mass into some semblance of order. "What is going on?"
