Hrothbert turns to look back up the shaft, wondering who was coming next. In the flickering torchlight the shadows are constantly shifting giving him an uneasy feeling.
"Well guess I am next for the ride." Kaloruk mused as he waited for the bucket to come back up. He turns to shoot a smile at the monk. "So Sir Balasar, what do you think will be waiting for us below?"

Ok. We're going to timeskip, since nobody's really posted in a while. You all arrive at the bottom.
The trip is about 1 minute. The bucket lift descends to the floor of a small cave where two dusty tunnels lead in opposite directions. Thulmar crouches by the west one, and Hrothbert by the east.
Hrothbert shakes his head. “Been thinking about that, the busiest paths would be the miners not necessarily kobolds. They’ve only been here a couple days.”
“That is a good question. Unfortunately my sight in here isn’t that great. Who else can take a look for us? Besides don’t really want to leave these unattended.”
A lot of kobold foot traffic leads to and comes from the west, and a single set of kobold footprints leads to the east. There are no kobolds about, though.
"That is different. Is there any difference in the sizes? Or how they are walking? I know little about tracking but think this information could help us later, but for now I believe we should go the way that has the more tracks. It should take us to the area of the greatest number of kobolds. Thus completing our task."
Kaloruk cranks the bucket back up so Rhys can be lowered down next. Once Rhys is secure in the bucket, he works to lower the man down.

Balasar steps in, taking the rope from Kaloruk.
"Either you or Anya should be next," he said, "I'll man the ropes to get you two down."
Kaloruk shakes out his arms a bit before turning to Anya.
"Ladies first?"

"Thank you." Anya smiles and enters the bucket, not too happy about venturing further into the mine, but eager to get the little adventure over with.
Carefully, the monk works the pulley, lowering the bucket and Anya down the shaft.

Balasar tilted his head, "I guess we won't really know until we get down there," he said as he began to lower the bucket.

The trip is about 1 minute. The bucket lift descends to the floor of a small cave where two dusty tunnels lead in opposite directions. Thulmar crouches by the west one, and Hrothbert by the east.
Looking at the group Hrothbert asks “Any way to know which path to take?”
Looking over at Thulmar. “Did you notice any light down that tunnel?”
Loyalty Begets Honour
"Which path seems the most traveled?" asks Balasar.
Hrothbert shakes his head. “Been thinking about that, the busiest paths would be the miners not necessarily kobolds. They’ve only been here a couple days.”

"Then," Balasar replies, "Which path looks to be traveled by boots, and which looks to be traveled by kobold feet?"
“That is a good question. Unfortunately my sight in here isn’t that great. Who else can take a look for us? Besides don’t really want to leave these unattended.”
Loyalty Begets Honour
"I could take a look." Kaloruk offered, stepping forward to peer at the two different paths with his darksight.

"How strange... the west shows that most of the Kalbold traffic in the west tunnel but the east on shows one set going in."

Do the single set of tracks lead in and out, or just lead in.

Just in. In addition, you notice the very faint smell of blood, likely a day or so old.
