"The kobolds are not safe out there with the yeti," Balasar commented, "but they are not safe in the mines with that thing here, either. Even if we go and defeat the yeti, they mines will still be unsafe for anyone."
“Well now that we are aware, it can be watched for and driven back again. The mines are as safe now as they were before. The only issue left is to have these kobolds vacate the mines, as per our agreement.”
Looking the “leader” over Hrothbert tilts his head and asks “So, who was it that put up that sign at the entrance? Did you get one of the dwarves to write it before they were scared off?”

" I am actually quite proficient in a variety of languages and communication forms."
“Oh, how did you come by that knowledge? I don’t know much about your kind but am quite sure you and your kin are not long lived. It is curiosity to me” Hrothbert watches for any reaction or hint at their intent.
"That may be very useful in convincing the mine owner to allow your people to stay within the mines. Assuming of course the creature can be dealt with." Kaloruk stated as he moved his lute over to his lap. He plucked a few strings absently, mostly to past the time. "Though two warrirors may not be enough to defeat the fiend. Do you think seeking aid from the village will be helpful?"
(I'm still here. Just had some medical stuff come up that took me away for a bit.)

Long time roleplayer and artist, I enjoy the fantasy world of dragons and magic. It only makes sense I dive into Dungeons and Dragons!
Looking forward to learning the game and making new friends. :)
"The villagers are miners, not fighters," Balasar replies, "Otherwise, they would not need to hire us to clear the mine of kobolds." Balasar considers the kobold before the group, "I still think there can be an amicable resolution here between the miners and the kobolds, but we still must deal with that creature first."
“Would a creature like that bother returning to a place that is no longer safe? I think we may have proved that it doesn’t belong here and to stay away.” Thinking for a bit. “Perhaps we seal the entrance? Or have the kobolds and miners build a cap for it.”
(didn’t the DM tell us it wasn’t coming back after the arcana check?)
“Well, I am always interested in learning more, perhaps you could introduce me. You see, if your teacher is that good, they may be able to help me find someone.”

"I am curious to see how you plan to do that." The bard's tail sway lightly behind him. "Luring it into a trap with bait perhaps?"

"The creature only lives because it fled," Balasar comments, "If we can trap it, we can most likely kill it."

(I did indeed!)
"I have a good teacher, though he is reclusive and doesn't like people very much."

"I will talk to him, but I can not make any guarantees."
"We should stay alert," Balasar says, "That thing may decide to come back. And we have no idea whether or not there are more of those things in here."
"I think they are solitary creatures."
"I hope so. Could you imagine? A swarm of those things?" Kaloruk mused, plucking a few notes. "Would it be a Swarm? Or a herd? or a pack?"

"Maybe they would be called the same thing as a group of crows," Balasar suggested.
