Nasaar frowns as he thumps his heavy crossbow against his thigh. "How do you suggest we end this war with the humans without just letting the humans win?"
I cannot suggest, you need to make decisions yourselves. But you need to fix the continent. In its current state the invasion will happen soon, one way or another.
Gruntor, not much for thinking under the best of times, will ask some questions related to were to go and who to smash.
"Where is the humans gods now?"
"Where is the closest bad humie for me to smash?"
"Can I gets something for more better smashing?"
For the first question, I cannot give a direct answer. There are many gods. Which ones do you mean?
For the second question, there are scouting teams with order templar initiates throughout the forest, the closest ones around a day away to the north.
For the third question, yes you can. You just need to acquire it. There are enchanted weapons both on mountain peaks and far below ground in the tunnels, within a couple days travel.
As you begin ask the question, your mind begins to feel oddly relaxed, almost hearing a soothing melody, drifting away on on waves of serenity and euphoria, away from the mundane worries... As you try to focus your mind on the question, the melody changes from serene to sinister and a painful ringing begins in your head. Focusing the mind on the question is not easy, but you manage to persist through it.
The human looks at you with a smile, and with a seemingly genuine interest towards the end.
"Not bad, you not only managed to ask right question, but you kept your focus. But unfortunately, I cannot answer that question directly. See how much rejection you receive from the world around you from just trying to ask it?
I can only say that the answer to your question can found, by chance, so to say. That is, if you were to by chance come upon some suitably old manuscripts about old pivotal events involving gods..."
From your religious knowledge, you know one major religious event: the end of the Great War some five centuries ago. Human priests proclaim that's when their gods defeated the monster gods.
"So something of great power prevents the asking of dangerous questions... because it doesn't want others finding the answers to those questions... Human gods getting their powers is related to an old pivotal god-related event a handful of centuries ago... If they don't want that question asked, it's possible that's when those gods were... made... and suitably old manuscripts might say how they could be unmade... or how new gods might be made..."
Having asked his three, even though the third was not answered directly, the firebolg muses aloud, watching their guest for agreement or disagreement.

You manage to ask around the first half of the question before collapsing to the ground from sudden lightheadeness.
The human looks at and says.
"It seems you tried to ask a question that I am unable to answer. I can only say that perhaps if it's a question about your people, then the answer might be in your land. And perhaps closer than you think.
"Gruntor, you know where there are any old manuscripts? I'm not much welcome in places where books are stored....", the firebolg idly calls fire to his hand and snuffs it.

Gruntor is aware that big fortress must have some old place with books, like library or something. Otherwise, ancient treasures sometimes have old books.

"The bad ones from crystal that orders the giants to smash gobs"
"Oh, that one? You could find your way to them in the capital city, of humans, Silverstone."
"What do we need to know or do to kill these gods?"

The human gives a faint smile and says,
"I cannot comment on this. But I wish you luck on your quest. Now, I think one of you still has a question left?"
"Two questions left I believe." Nasaar remarks. "How can non-humans get own gods to aid against human gods?"
Nasaar, wisdom saving throw.
Nasaar wis save is a 7... lol.

Very well, one last question."
Nasaar receives the quiet reply to his last question.
(OOC: Nassar will get a retroactive reply to his question when he returns. In the meantime, he will be gone on a "personal investigation").
Firebolg and Gruntor proceed to the hobgoblin citadel. What do you do?
"Gruntor, you know where there are any old manuscripts? I'm not much welcome in places where books are stored....", the firebolg idly calls fire to his hand and snuffs it.

"Fortress may have...but also, human man mention mountains and tunnels that have treasures for smashing. Maybe also reading things"
