Our party just found one as a treasure but have a sorcerer and a druid, not a mage. So I'm wondering, without having to look through all the spells, if anyone knows offhand if it is useful for any other spells, or other possible uses?
Some material components are just things you keep around. Whether it's a 100 gp pearl, a 50 gp diamond, or platinum rings for the whole party worth 50 gp apiece; these are things that you need for certain spells. Some of this comes from balance. But it's also a means of showing how you accumulate wealth. The wizard can put that diamond atop a staff and incorporate it into their focus. The rings can all display the signet of the company your party has formed.

So turn that pearl into a dope earring.
Did a quick search through spells in PHB, XGtE, and TCoE. The only other spell where it might be useful is Circle of death.
So probably just sell it. If you ever actually need a pearl for a spell, buy it back at that time.
If someone multiclasses into artificer, you could use it as a homunculus heart
Gold dragons eat pearls, you know, if you ever come across a situation where you need to bribe a gold dragon
