Okay, I know the subclass is Homebrew so I wanted to ask your opinions on this. A Forged Heart Living Weapon Monk says that their unarmed strikes are counted as Adamantine Weapons. According to the Sage Advice: Compendium, Divine Smite only works on actual weapons, unarmed strikes don't count even if their labelled as specialized melee weapons. So, with the Forge Heart's feature making your unarmed strikes count as adamantine weapons, would you be able to Divine Smite then with unarmed strikes as a Living Weapon Monk?
That can be the problem with homebrew - they don't always have a proper edit to ensure the language is consistent. "Unarmed strikes are adamantium weapons" makes zero sense. An unarmed strike is an action, a thing a person does - a weapon is an actual tangible object. They can't equate each other. So the answer would be no - the feature is just worded strangely, but your unarmed strikes do not qualify as weapons.
The intent appears to be that the your unarmed strikes are considered adamantine, much like ki-empowered strikes makes your attacks considered magical. They will do double damage to structures and appropriately bypass certain resistances. If it somehow was supposed turned your fists or body into an actual weapon, it would need different language. Compare the Armorer subclass of Artificer, which can turn part of your armor into actual weapons. Or compare many racial abilities, which turn body parts into natural weapons.
Oh, thanks for this one. But with that in mind, I have another question. Can you divine smite with body parts turned into natural weapons? For example, Tabaxis have Cat's Claws which make their unarmed strikes natural weapons, can they divine smite with these then?
I am a bit late to the party but just found this thread.
Something to correct: You can smite with any unarmed attack, even without special features.
The paladins "Divine Smite" feature specifies, that you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack you can deal the extra damage.
The section on unarmed strikes reads "Instead of using a weapon to make a melee weapon attack, you can use an unarmed strike" so an unarmed strike is still a melee weapon attack and thus qualifies for divine smite.
With Forged Heart, your unarmed strikes are considered adamantine weapons and thus work with any game elements that work with weapons, including Divine Smite.

No. Unarmed strikes are unarmed strike.
However, it's a homebrew class. Talk to your DM.

Yep - natural weapons work.
