Hi everyone! I have always been a fan of Castlevania for games and characters and can only say that the Netflix show awakened my inner edgelord. So, I wanted to make an Alucard inspired Dhampir vampire hunter character. Right now, I have a couple ideas in mind:
- Blood Hunter (Ghostslayer), possibly with a 2 lvl dip into Bladesinger (ignoring Elven race requirement) - Dex based Paladin of Vengeance
Both melee. Fact is, I don't want to wear anything more than medium armor and light would even be better. Bladesong would help a little with that sacrificing the shield. Ghostslayer is nice flavourwise, and since I have an old character that became vampire in our very first campaign, Curse of Strahd, I could role something like a curse related to dad. Maybe even throw in some Bloodborne/Ravenloft mix in there, since the blood sacrifice sounds a lot like the vampires of Cainhurst from BL.
But as per gameplay and design, can anyone suggest me? Never actually had any experience with BH so far.
I know this is 6 years later but bloodsinger totally works. I have been doing things with a mutant with a dip in bladesinger. There are two mutagens Celerity and Sagacity which increase dex and int scores. While Celerity has a bigger drawback with bad wis saves but cha saves are so rare that you can safely take Sagacity all the time giving you a high ac and generally good high int score. Also in several battles celerity is worth it especially if you have a party to back you up in those fights.
