Considering these "gifts" are all supposed to have a downside and touch of death seems to not have an obvious one... I'd say the touch of your skin is at least painful to everyone and prolonged contact might incur the 1d10 damage.
It would definitely be more fun to roleplay as your touch harms even loved ones. That would be a dark gift indeed.
Does intercourse or hugging counts as a grapple. My group is debating this when it comes to the dark gift: Touch of Death - Withering Contact

If you hug while covered up, there's no skin contact.
