Edit: This was a misread of mine from a 3.5 monster, just ignore unless their is a monster that has a 5' cone I am unaware of. Thank you Aethelwolf for the quick correction.
The faerie dragon's euphoria breath has a range of 5' cone. At first I was thinking it was basically a range that fills one 5' square, but the wording of cone feels weird. After looking at some cone forms, it looks like it might be capable of affecting 2 adjacent squares if positioned correctly.
I am probably being pedantic over something silly in the wording which is intended to be interpreted as the way a dragon usually delivers its breath weapon in either a line or cone. For those who use a battle map, is it able to affect 2 squares with positioning? This would mean it could potentially affect 2 targets.
Faerie Dragon (Younger) simply says the euphoria breath targets one creature within 5 feet of it. Can you reference where you see anything about a cone?
I play on hexes, which handle cones very well. (They handle cubes pretty poorly, though.) I would allow it to target either 1 or 2 adjacent hexes that are also adjacent to each other, monster's choice. You can aim for the center of a hex or the edge.
On squares I would also allow it to target 1 or 2 squares adjacent or diagonal and adjacent to each other. A cone is closer to 45 degrees than 90 degres.

IMHO, Earthdawn is still the best fantasy realm, Shadowrun is the best Sci-Fi realm, and Dark Sun is the best D&D realm.

So...I am an idiot and was looking at a 3.5 version.

I don't think there is anything that has a 5 foot cone, but it would just effect 1 square based on AOE rules.
