If I were to use minor conjuration to conjure food, would it still "feed" (as in satisfying hunger) even if the conjuration vanishes after an hour? Even if so, would this work in a interaction situation where I could appear to be nice but I'm giving away fake food?
I wouldn't say so - because eating it would probably be considered dealing it damage - and that would make it disappear.
The object disappears after 1 hour, when you use this feature again, or if it takes or deals any damage.
This is true
Also - you're not going to fool anyone because:
The object is visibly magical, radiating dim light out to 5 feet.
Don't know about you - but I'm not sure I'd be up for eating cartoon-style radioactive glowing food.
I kind of forgot about that part, lol. Maybe you could pass it of as some kind of magical food, like goodberry? I was thinking about if you could create goodberry, however I came to the conclusion that it was likely considered a magical item.
