Does anyone know if the stat blocks are being changed especially for spellcasters? I’ve noticed in the Candlekeep and Witchlight books the stat blocks are different. Will this be the new norm going forward with future products? Will the former spellcasting trait with spell slots no longer be used or needed? How does one convert the spellcasting trait from previous books? Has anything officially been said about these changes? If so where? I would like to read it. Thanks
There's a good amount of speculation on the interwebs about this exact topic. I personally haven't seen any official reasoning or care and use instructions. My advice would be to parse the developers direct or be patient for official announcements. Also, the statblocks can serve as a template for the DM to use. If the DM prefers one statblock format to another it's their perview either way.
