i need a ruling concerning monk of the astral self: as an astral self monk: if my character is light and small enough, like say for example; a 40 pound kobold, can I throw my self using my 'Arms of the Astral Self' replacement effect.
Example of intended instance that this ruling is needed for: I'm am playing a 40 pound kobold, wearing 2 pounds of clothes, making my total weight 42. I have my 'Arms/Head of the Astral Self" out and attempting to us my wisdom in place of a strength for a skill check such as athletics, by picking up my physical body with my astral self using Arms of the Astral Self' feature to do strength based checks.

I feel like the Astral Arms are connected to you, so they couldn't pick you up and throw you any more than your physical arms could. They're not a set of disembodied arms that you can order about like buff mage hands playing Kobold toss. If you were allowed to pick your physical self up with your astral arms, then you'd essentially be flying/hovering, which is well beyond the scope of the ability.
Ask your DM if these spectral arms that hover near your shoulders can be used to do things other than unarmed strikes such as picking you up and throwing you around.
For Flavor, sure, why not, but functionally that would just be a long jump. Like... if I was the DM and you were trying to jump from, say... one moving cart to another and I called for an Athletics check and you succeed... I'd be perfectly fine with you describing that your jump took the form of being scooped up in your own astral arms and tossed across the gap. But if you're trying to use it to, say... throw yourself 60 feet in the air or something I wouldn't allow that... it's pretty obviously trying to cheese the system to get extra benefits beyond what the game actually intends to grant you.

I would say no.
