Hello everyone. Future first time DM here and I'm using the appendix A of the DMG for random dungeon to create my first dungeon. So i roll some dice to know which passages, chambers and other stuff to put. I rolled a pasage that says "Continue straight 20 ft., comes to a dead end; 10 percent chance of a secret door" but I'm not sure i understand correctly. Does it mean i need to roll a d100 and if it's a 10 or under i put a secret door there ?
If 10- vs 9- on a d00 gives you trouble, 10% is also a 1 on a d10 or a 2- on a d20.
I prefer rolling a 1d12+1d8, and then if the d8 is a 1 and the d12 is anything but an 11 or 12, it’s technically pretty close to 10%. Way more fun because you finally get to use that d12. /s

And remember that 00 is actually 100, not zero.

Thanks everyone ^^
