I am kind of stuck and need advice. I usually was allowed to simply be an Aasimar (scourge or protector) and simply re-skin it so it looked like an anthro hound. But DM won’t allow it, due to the lore of the world (totally understand) they advised to use custom lineage, but I don’t know what feat to take that would help with it.
Fey Touched (CHA) and take Hex? Mist step is nice as the hound archons in 3.5 could teleport and hex could serve as a pseudo fear mechanic based off of “Menacing Aura”
I had to look them up, but it seems to me that their teleportation powers are one of their more iconic abilities, and Fey Touched is absolutely the best feat to get that. I think that, tactically, Hex is a really smart choice, but if you're trying to capture the feel of a fear ability I would go for Dissonant Whispers instead... it also doesn't actually cause the Frightened effect, but it has a very fear-focused flavor and causes enemies to immediately run away from the caster.
