So my party is going to be going to the Plane of Earth in a couple of sessions. They have a carpet of flying. Will they be able to use the carpet on this plane? I know there is no air on this plane except in pockets, so technically, there is no way the carpet can fly without air, right? Or but because it is magical it can fly? What do you think? I know they will want to use the carpet. Thanks for you input

As far as the carpet goes: flying speeds that can hover usually don't require air to maintain lift, often due to magic or psionics etc.
As far as the plane of earth goes, there is very little official 5e content for it.
The magic carpet can fly because it is being moved by magic.
The "pockets of air" might cause breathing problems for the party though :-) Fun for the DM.
Thanks for the input. Should be fun!
