Afterall, while Unconscious you're inert; you have the Incapacitated and Prone conditions, and you drop whatever you’re holding.
So it'd let go ceiling or wall it's holding onto.
There is no clear definition of what prone means in conjunction with Spider Climb, particularly at level 3+, one way or another.
Though Spider Climb is not said to have any different effect in conjunction with Prone conditions specifically.
You only fall with Flying because Flying explicitly says you do. There is nothing saying you fall while Climbing/using a Climb Speed or Swimming/using a Swim Speed.

No it's the contrary, you always fall when Unconscious while flying unless you can specifically hover.
We're not talking about an effect that would only knock one Prone here.

Prone, Incapacitated and speed 0 are the portion of the Unconscious condition that causes a flying creature to fall (if they can't hover). None of these have any explicit interaction with other movement forms, other than the fact that your speed is now 0 and that a level 3+ Prone Dhampir may have to crawl along the ceiling.
Spider Climb does not explicitly require holding anything and at level 3+, you aren't even using your hands anymore. Many creatures are able to sleep while clinging to surfaces so it's not a logical assumption. There is no mechanical guidance. There is no descriptive guidance. There is no clear definition on how Prone, Incapacitated and speed 0 (and therefore Unconscious) interact with Spider Climb, if at all.
@GrantsHero Mike chimed in ago, but asking 1 more time, does knocking a creature climbing with clb spd, cause it to Fall or land Prone? @JeremyECrawford No general rule causes a climbing creature to fall if knocked prone. As DM, I'd look at the environment and decide.
A creature climbing that is knocked Prone is still aware of it's surrounding and still able to move by crawling as opposed to Unconscious one that don't even know they're climbing a wall or ceiling.

It doesn't matter.
There's no rule causing them to fall and it's left to DM descretion.

The only time i would rule an Unconscious creature climbing not falling on the ground would be if secured by a Climber’s Kit or Rope for example.

Not sure if this conversation with the Dev is relevant or not, but...
