Did anyone else notice that they reworded the Tortle natural armor? Now it says that you cannot wear armor. This would mean that you basically cannot have the armorer subclass.
Old tortle: you gain no benefit from wearing armor.
New tortle: you cannot wear light, medium, or heavy armor.
Artificer armorer: The model you choose gives you special benefits while you wear it.
Edit: also some infusions like "mind sharpener" doesn't work either since you infuse a piece of armor.
An argument could be made that since the section had been talking about AC that the old tortle wording would just mean AC.
The only things that you would get from the armorer subclass if you cannot use the armor features are extra attack, and the extra spells. That's it. Everything else revolves around your arcane armor.
Well the class feature has already covered that: "As an action, you can turn a suit of armor you are wearing into Arcane Armor, provided you have smith's tools in hand."
So you cannot use natural armor.

The old tortle said you gain no benefit from wearing armor. Wouldn't that have included the benefits provided by the artificer armorer anyway?
That being said, you can take the subclass, but that would preclude use of features requiring the armor.

if you're going down the "an argument can be made" road, natural armor could be argued to be armor that you are wearing.
