The legacy traits specified the aarakocra lifespan was maturity at age 3 and they don't usually live longer than 30 years. Monsters of the Multiverse seems to do away with a lot of limited lifespans by stating that the typical lifespan of a player character in D&D is about a century, and if a typical member of a race can live longer, it's noted in the description. It wouldn't make sense for the rest of a race to have a maximum lifespan of 30 years, while the PCs of that race can live over triple that. Does this mean that all aarakocra now have a lifespan of about a century?
It could definitely make sense if you account for the fact that PCs represent beings that are abnormally powerful. People forget that there aren't necessarily a ton of adventuring parties running around any given world and, if there are, most of them aren't technically supposed to be represented in the way player characters are. Remember: 1st level Fighters (who are typically portrayed as being pretty young) are on par with battle-tested veteran soldiers and guards with a decade or two of experience under their belts. PCs are supposed to be the exceptions, not the rules; they're heroes, not average soldiers. They do the things the vast majority of beings simply cannot do.
As such, I'd see nothing wrong with a Aarakocra PC living significantly longer than the average member of their species.
You don't know what fear is until you've witnessed a drunk bird divebombing you while carrying a screaming Kobold throwing fire anywhere and everywhere.
