Hey all, got some questions about how the prerequisites on the feats in Dragonlance affect how you’re allowed to take them. For example, Adept of Black Robes says Prerequisite: 4th lvl, Initiate of high sorcery (Nuitari). My gut is telling me one can take this feat if they are either 4th lvl or have taken the appropriate background/feat. Or are both prerequisites required?
Elven Accuracy doesn’t have an “or” just a comma between Elf and Half-Elf. By your logic i would need to be two races at once to take Elven accuracy. Also, “Prerequisite” ,in all feats that have prerequisites, isn’t plural thus implying only one applies. It’s just annoying that wizards of the coast has ambiguous text everywhere when they could have thrown in some extra words to make things clear.

I have a digital copy of Xanathar's Guide to Everything and it says:

Elven Accuracy has it in my copy. Many feats have multiple prerequisites, especially post-PHB, and what i said is not my logic, it's what the rules actually say;
Feats: You must meet any prerequisite specified in a feat to take that feat. If you ever lose a feat’s prerequisite, you can’t use that feat until you regain the prerequisite.
I was referencing the Dndbeyond app so that makes sense that the translation got messed. I’m gunna look at the digital copy I have of Dragonlance and see if it has a different reading.
Looking at the feat either in the digital version of XGtE or through DnDBeyond's Game Rules -> Feats tool I see what I posted above.
However, if I go to a character that has the feat and click it to get the full text I see this:
"Elven Accuracy
Prerequisite: Elf or half-elf Eladrin Sea Elf Shadar-kai Astral Elf"
I imagine this is the source of the confusion and does seem like a mistranslation by DnDBeyond.
Edit: I have been using the DnDBeyond website, I just checked the app and found this when I searched for the Elven Accuracy feat in the Listing and Search tools:
"Elven Accuracy
Prerequisite: Elf, Half-elf"
Looking at XGtE on the app is the same as the website and looking at the feat on a character on the app is the same as the website.
Ok formatting error on the app in case of discrepency always go with print version
But a print version might not have the latest errata applied to it.
The digital books on DnDBeyond have the errata automatically applied to them and don't seem to suffer from the translation issues other areas of DnDBeyond suffers from.
Edit: As an aside, I find it very odd that the Character Builder tool and the app Search tool have their own source of truth for the rules. Considering how consistent the rest of the web experience is I feel like it should have been easier to extend whatever data source the web site used to also serve the Character Builder and app Search tool.
It is apparently so hard to program Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul spell-swapping into dndbeyond they had to remake the game without it rather than implement it.

Both are prerequisits and you must meet any prerequisite specified in a feat to take that feat.
What about Elven Accuracy? Am I supposed to be a Elf and a Half-Elf?
No just one OR the other, there's no comma between them.
If it has an "or" then it is "or," if it does not, it is "and."

If you could provide your source that would be helpful.

On D&D Beyond Elven Accuracy has the same prerequisite as the printed version.

To take that feat your character must also be in a dragonlance campaign only. That is another listed requirement. So, three requirements must be met.
I'm probably laughing.

Needless to say that any errata take precedence over original format regardless of form (DDB, PDF etc)
