hi, i have a druid player that always changes into a brown bear. he does it when the party are all together in a group.
as we use a battle mat my question is:- when his base changes from medium to large and the party are still in squares around him, does the druid suffer the squeezing rules till he moves, and how does this affect the other party members ? are they pushed away or do they ignore the druid bear as he is squeezing. and i assume the bear/druid gets the difficult terrain rule even if squeezing between friendly's. thank you for any help.
Having the brown bear "squeeze" (move at half speed) until it has enough room to fill the Large space will generally the fairest option under these circumstances. Anything else requires more judging calls and aren't likely to improve the enjoyment of the game for anyone.
