"The axe deals an extra 1d6 necrotic damage to creatures that aren’t constructs or undead. If you reduce such a creature to 0 hit points with an attack using this axe, you gain 10 temporary hit points." So do i get the temporary hit points from constructs and undead? or from things that aren't those 2?
I believe the intent is that you gain the HP by the axe draining the target of life essence. Constructs and Undead don't have that kind of vitality(which is why the necrotic damage doesn't apply), so there's nothing for the axe to drain. But barring a clarification from Matt Mercer or one of the WotC folks, the standard answer of "check with your DM" applies :)

No since the Bloodaxe feature doesn't affect them, Basically if you reduce creatures that aren’t constructs or undea to 0 hit points with an attack using this axe, you gain 10 temporary hit points."
"Such a creature" is the key phrase. This refers to the creatures (and only those creatures) that were specified in the preceding sentence.
This is precisely right, and ironically precisely wrong.
To me at least, there's no doubt what so ever that the blood axe is supposed to work on beings that have blood or life force - and not on beings that don't. But what the description literally says is that it does necrotic damage to beings that have blood or life force, but grants temporary HP if you kill a being that doesn't.

Blanket disclaimer: I only ever state opinion. But I can sound terribly dogmatic - so if you feel I'm trying to tell you what to think, I'm really not, I swear. I'm telling you what I think, that's all.

I understand why you would come to this conclusion, but to me "Such creatures" here refers to types of creatures affected rather than unaffected.
Such creatures = creatures that aren’t constructs or undead RIGHT
Such creatures = constructs or undead WRONG
I assumed that. But i just wanted to be sure. The DM also said it. But some times you misunderstand things. But thx
