Alright so Baphomet, the Prince of Beasts, Hunter of men, Lover of Mazes, etc. Lets talk about him.
Specifically his Heartcleaver. Compare it to the Wave of Sorrow, Wand of Orcus, insert third magical weapon here.
It seems to be.... lacking? How is a Prince of the Abyss stuck with an ordinary glaive? He controls a layer of the all consuming abyss and carries a regular glaive, but bigger?
So does an Oni.
Seems like a mistake. Make it raise the dead as Minotaur skeletons. How about letting it cause INT reduction as Baphomet spills his opponents' lifeblood as well as sapping their brain? Literally transforrming his enemies into mindless animals to be hunted down and killed.
I don't know. I just hate that his weapon gets a name, recognized in his discription, is in his portrait, but is essentially just a big piece of metal.
If you want an Ability that ties into the Name.. Perhaps let him Cause Critical Hits once every few turns against Target it has already Hit/"Bled", It's tasted their blood and now it want's More...
Something like that?

Good and Evil are different sides of the Same Coin. One Cannot Exist without the other.
Always Looking for Feedback and Critique on anything I Publish, IM me if you have suggestions.
Mhmm. More a Charging ability i think would be interesting, Say after 3-4(Possibly 5) Normal hits it can Preform a "Heartseeking Stroke" Which will be a Guaranteed Crit IF it hits, Not gonna exactly mean "Bang, Dead" but enough to keep people on their toes. (I only mention this because by the level the Players should be facing Him... They should have other ways of surviving if need be)

How about on a hit the players need to make a Con save vs Baphomet's spell DC or have their hit point maximum reduced by the amount of damage dealt? If their hit point max drops to zero there are no death saving throws.

Like a recharging ability that can turn a hit into a crit? That would be cool.
It just seems ridiculous that a being as powerful as Baphomet would have a hunk of steel. Not some powerful magical artifact.
