I recently drew from the Deck of Many Things with my character (Level 7 Nature Cleric) and pulled 3 wishes. I have made 1 wish already which allows my familiar (Ritual caster) to hold concentration on a second spell for me. But i need help with wording my second and third wishes.
Some character background.
I am playing a Bugbear Nature cleric that is focusing on frontline combat utilizing the Thorn Whip spell and also some other movement manipulation spells.
For my second Wish I am wanting to essentially have the Thorn Whip spell as a permanent weapon, but essentially working like the cantrip as far as damage and so on. I have already floated this idea with the DM and he is happy with it, but I am struggling with the wording to avoid any unforeseen issues.
Thirdly and probably the more troublesome wish, is to have the extra attack feature the same as a fighter of the same level. I have also spoken with the DM on this one and I know that this one will definitely be an issue unless worded perfectly.
I managed to get the first wish over the line by having the familiar hold the concentration, so I know if I add my own drawback to the wish he is likely to go for it.
Honestly, trying to perfectly word a Wish is pointless. The DM explicitly has very broad latitude in interpreting and twisting the results, as well as outright veto power. This is one of those areas where all you can do is talk with your DM and then roll the dice, so to speak.
Yeah, I think Ace is right... the trick to this is less to figure out exactly how to perfectly word your wish than it is to just make sure out of character whether or not your DM will allow you to use the wishes this way.

I have a drawback you might want to consider adding to smooth it over. I'm thinking of it from a DM perspective, and if you have permanent Thorn Whip as an attack, that combo's bound to get nutty. So.
Wish for the ability to split up the damage between attacks. Let's say you get to roll 3 damage dice based on your current level. Instead of just gaining Extra Attack, make it so you can split the dice (either 1-1-1 or 2-1) as separate attacks. Thorn Whip still has the pull effect per hit, but other than that, you aren't dealing 3 dice of damage per hit, every hit.
