The Battle ready feature lets you use INT instead of STR or DEX, but would that logically have any affect on the strength requirements of a weapon with the heavy property? Specifically with a small creature trying to wield it.
Battle Ready from Artificer specifically calls out weapon attacks edit: and only attack and damage rolls
It wouldn’t affect property restrictions/penalties like your size
When you attack with a magic weapon, you can use your Intelligence modifier, instead of Strength or Dexterity modifier, for the attack and damage rolls.
Battle Ready doesn't have any effect on weapon property, only on your usage of ability modifier with it. Note that Strenght has no effect on the Heavy property compared to heavy armors for exemple.
Heavy. Creatures that are Small or Tiny have disadvantage on attack rolls with heavy weapons. A heavy weapon's size and bulk make it too large for a Small or Tiny creature to use effectively.
