Im currently playing a reborn hexblade warlock and will be level 4 at the start of our next session. I'm almost certain that im going to take armor of agathys as one of my spells but i have a question about one of the mechanics. If i were to cast it as a level 2 spell i would gain 10 thp, and every attack that hits me while i have any of that hp would cause the attacker to take 10 cold damage, correct? so for example on our last session we were fighting a group of giant scorpions and they were frequently making multiattacks. if i had lvl 2 AoA and i got hit by the first attack that did say, 9 damage. said scorpion would take 10 cold as a rebuttal. but if that 10 damage kills the scorpion would the subsequent attack never have hit or would it still make that roll and possibly hit me, removing the remainder of the thp despite having an hp of 0. Or would the scorpion die after making the first half of its multiattack and then never make the second swing?

Not every attacks, only melee attacks the creature takes 5 cold damage, no damage after ranged attack.

If a creature is killed following one of its Multiattack or Extra Attack it doesn't make the remaining attack(s) if any.
Also you only deal cold damage back while you have THP granted by Armor of Agathys so if you get THP from another source they don't cumulate or substitute you must choose which one to keep.

The attacks aren't simultaneous. If they go down in the middle of their multitrack, they don't make the rest of the attacks.
(If you go down in the middle of their multitrack, they can shift target to your friend.)
