You can cast it as a spel and then it uses a slot. You can also cast it as a Ritual (so not as a spell), without the use of a spell slot, but then there is the 10 min extra casting time. Simply do not click the cast button, but tell your party/DM you perform the ritual. As a Warlock you can't use Rituals, but as you have the Find Familiar as Pact Boon, it is the/your only Ritual as an exception for you as a gift from your Patron. As it is part of your Class options, you have some extra capabilities compared to the default spell.
Good day people,
I am quite new to dnd and i have question regarding warlock of chain pact casting find familiar imp.
It states that i can cast it as ritual, and as i read ritual spells not use spell slot.
But on my warlock character when i click cast find familiar it uses my spell slot. Also when i point click on spell i dont see (Ritual) in description
Any help for newbie please?
