Our DM brought in a creature/animal, the almiraj, from the Tomb of Annihilation book or from an alternative realm, or so I've seemed to find. This creature should not technically be able to exist in our standard material plane of existence (right or wrong?) and the DM has specifically stated we do not have any type of knowledge or access to alternative realms. I accidentally killed this adorable creature, unknowing of what it was as it was hidden. I want to either bring it back or create another one (I could possibly do this in a round-a-bout way). However, I am severely struggling to do so given all the means require this creature to be existent within our material plane of existence. Unless he created a loop hole since I've now seen it, held it (dead) and whatnot else. I'm a level 5 half-elf warlock if that makes any difference. Help!
The DM ultimately decides what is native to your own Plane of existence. If they introduced an almiraj, chances are there will be more unless they very specifically told you that there was only one of them. In which case I bet they're pretty miffed that you killed it, lol.

I know what you're thinking: "In that flurry of blows, did he use all his ki points, or save one?" Well, are ya feeling lucky, punk?
