2024 Spell "True Strike" for melee weapons only?

 Everything you quoted in this page is comparing 2014 to 2024. Its not the same. 

Sure it works, but how do you make an attack with a 2 handed weapon when the spells requires you to be using one hand cast the spell?  As for light crossbow, you still need to load it. The spell is intended for melee.  Rules as written: even when you SAC for attacking. You need to have two hand to make the attack.  This casting and attack at the same time. its not cast then attack. 

The spellcasting rules explicitly say that you can use the same hand for the somatic component that you do for the material component (i.e., the weapon) so there's no reason you can't cast True Strike with a two-handed weapon.

If the spell were intended to only be used with melee weapons, it would say that in the spell description, the way it does for similar spells that actually are limited to melee weapons, like Booming Blade.

 Also, the spell places no restriction on using it with two-handed weapons. Things do what they say. Without any restriction, when it says you make an attack with the weapon, there is inherently nothing about the spellcasting process that will prevent you from making the attack.

A good general rule of thumb is that if an interpretation of a spell or ability leads to it being impossible for that spell/ability to actually be used, that's probably not the correct interpretation.
