Both of these have been omitted from the new shapechange spell.
Am i to assume that means you can now shapechange into a unique version of a creature type (provided i have seen it) and that legendary, actions, lair actions and spellcasting are all now on the table for this spell?
I think Legendary actions have been replaced by reactions (which you would get) and maybe lair actions are very location specific, but still, this seems quite fantastic.
The old shapechange spell:
"You can't use any legendary actions or lair actions of the new form."

2024 Shapechange no longer restrict in this way after it was greatly simplified.
