According to PAM feat it does not applies to trident weapon, as is not listed and doesn’t have Heavy and Reach features. But…a trident is clearly a polearm weapon. Could also be applied to javelin though.
The Polearm Master feat doesn't work with a Trident or Javelin, it can only be used with a Quarterstaff , a Spear, or a weapon that has the Heavy and Reach properties.

Yeah, it is a bit weird that a spear counts as a polearm, but a trident doesn't. Javelins are purely a one-handed weapon though

Carric Aquissar, elven wannabe artist in his deconstructionist period (Archfey warlock) Lan Kidogo, mapach archaeologist and treasure hunter (Knowledge cleric) Mardan Ferres, elven private investigator obsessed with that one unsolved murder (Assassin rogue) Xhekhetiel, halfling survivor of a Betrayer Gods cult (Runechild sorcerer/fighter)
The Trident has never counted as a polearm in this edition and am not sure it ever did before that.
That doesn't make it less weird. It might actually make it more weird

A trident used to only do 1d6 damage in 2014 which was bumped to 1d8 in 2024. Perhaps it wouldn't be too much for it to be added to the list of eligible weapons for PAM in Errata, or barring that, the 2034 edition 😛.
