So the second book of Griffin Saddlebag includes a druid circle that basically lets you assume "draconic shape" that mostly works the same as the standard beast wild shape, but you retain most of your stats with some AC related adjustments. My question is whether or not this counts as a Beast form for the purpose of the buff the 2024 druid can get, Elemental Fury, where you can roll an extra dice on one of your attacks while wild shaped (or for a weapon attack in normal form), or if it's designed and intended solely for normal form or normal wild shape forms.
The Griffon's Saddlebag subclasses were designed for use with the 2014 classes, so it's safe to say they did not have Elemental Fury (a new feature in the 2024 Druid class) in mind when they designed that one.
A strict reading of the rules would suggest it does not apply, since the Elemental Fury description specifically says "Beast form", and the Dragon Shape is explicitly defined as a Dragon, not a Beast. However, as with any weird interactions between 2014 stuff and 2024 stuff, it's best to ask your DM.
