As the title suggests - can you use True Strike with Pistols? I have an artificer 4/sorcerer 1 who built her own Pistol +1, but the character builder isn't including the True Strike option on the weapon description - I can't tell if this is a rules issue or a bug in the builder.
Nothing prevents you from using true strike with pistols.
In dndbeyond (including that tooltip), it is listed as "attack/save: melee" but that is not reflected in the books or the errata (the books don't even have a field like that).

(in short, yes, it works with pistols.)
Yeah, those quick stats at the top of spell pages on D&D Beyond are a cheat-sheet type of thing added for D&D Beyond specifically; they're not official rules and they are, unfortunately, full of errors. If those things disagree with what's in the actual rules, the rules win.

I'd say that's a bug reported a long time ago in Bugs & Support.
