I have a subclass (chaos pyromancy) that has a feature that uses your pyromancy flame (arcane focus) which increases your spell attack bonus by +1 at levels 3, 7, 10, 14, 18, and 20. I tried adding a modifier to the class feature that uses Bonus -> Spell Attacks, and setting the fixed value to 1 to increase it by 1. I was planning on just changing this as I level up as I don't see a way to increment it. However, adding that modifier visibly and mechanically did nothing on the virtual character sheet. My spell attack did not change and when I roll it doesn't take into account the modifier.. Anyone know a way I could actually do this?

Well unfortunately there’s no way to increase your spell attack bonus other than increasing your proficiency bonus score or your spell casting ability score. Trying to increase your spell attack bonus by way of a focus at multiple subclass levels is impossible to program but just making a feature that gives you expertise instead of proficiency for spell attack bonuses might be more useful. You’d still get a +6 if you subclass to the full 20th level.
[ Note: this might be better placed in the Homebrew and HouseRules subsection, just an Fyi.]

It can sometimes take as long as 15 minutes for changes to a homebrew subclass to actually be reflected in the character builder. Have you tried just coming back to it later and seeing if it works now?
