I was reading about the extra cantrip that high elves get, and I was wondering if they were a wizard does it stack or do they still have only four at level four
Correct, and as luck would have it, all of those cantrips use Intelligence as their casting stat and come from the same list of cantrips available to wizards, so they are effectively all identical. A high elf druid would start with 3 cantrips rather than 2, but one of them would be intelligence-based while the others were wisdom-based.
my apologies for asking this in a zombie thread, but this is in line with my question on the same subject - Why is my 1st level high elf wizard limited to choosing only 3 cantrips?
(how do I paste a screen shot to the thread from clipboard?)

If you choose the High Elf race in the D&D Beyond character generator, that is when you choose the cantrip you get as a High Elf, not later as a Wizard. If that's not the problem, I'm not sure. Try pasting a link to the character sheet.
It is apparently so hard to program Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul spell-swapping into dndbeyond they had to remake the game without it rather than implement it.

The number of cantrips stacks. The racial trait is independent of the class spellcasting feature.
It stacks so a High Elf Wizard has 4 cantrips, while a Human would have only 3 at level 1

Doesn't the wizard table only list 3 cantrips for a 1st level wizard?

here she is =(
You don't seem to have chosen a racial cantrip. That's chosen on panel 1 (race), not panel 2 (class).

how is she now?
4 cantrips, looks correct
I'm probably laughing.

Multi-classers cantrips stack as well. A Wizard/Artificer 1/1 gets 2+3=5 cantrips.
