The Crooked Moon Part One: Player Options & Campaign Setting, pg. 130
You touch a dead creature that died within the last minute and transfer your life essence into it. The target returns to life with Hit Points equal to your current Hit Point total. You immediately drop to 0 Hit Points with two failed Death Saving Throws, and you must immediately make a Death Save. You can’t regain Hit Points until after you make this save.
If someone cast spare the dying on you right after you cast the spell can you bypass the 3rd death save? kinda a harsh spell with 50% the caster is going to die with that 3rd death save. Spare the dying will at least reset to 0 death saves and the person can then make the required death save to regain hit points. Even on a failed save they can at least start gaining hp from healing.

Spare the Dying is an action. Even if held, the spell has to finish resolving before a reaction can take place. However, there are ways to make the save easier: -Anything that grants advantage -Anything that boosts saves in general (such as a Paladin aura)
And of course, even without that, it's a 55% chance to pass (10 or higher).

I agree with Athanar90 It's still the caster's turn basically ending it when you must immediately make a Death Save, which leave no time for other creature to cast Spare the Dying, even via the Ready Action.
Is this considering a 3rd party casting spare the dying? Basically the spell goes off then 3rd party casts spare dying to bypass the death saves.
Yes, that was considered. The third party would have to use the Ready action to cast on the turn of the person casting Martyr, and they can't interrupt the spell halfway through its effect. It has to play out (see duration: Instantaneous, meaning it all happens at once).
