Seeking clarity - when an Artificer with a All-Purpose Tool calls a Homunculus Servant, does the servant also get the bonus from the tool?
EG - for the Force Stike it's listed as: Force Strike. Ranged Weapon Attack: your spell attack modifier to hit, range 30 ft., one target you can see. Hit: 1d4 + PB force damage.
I assume that it may be covered elsewhere around summons, but I can't seem to track it down.
Your "Attack Modifier" is your Proficiency Bonus (PB) plus your Attack Ability Modifier (AAM) plus any other bonuses (OB) that apply from Spells, Potions, Magic Items or Feats and Features.
If you have a Level 3 Artificer with a PB of +2, an Intelligence of 18, giving you an AAM of +4, then your Attack Modifier is +6. If you get a +1 All-Purpose Tool, your Attack Modifier is now +7. Your Homunculus, whether or not it exists before or after you get the All-Purpose Tool, will attack with their Force Strike using your +7 Attack Modifier. If you lose your All-Purpose Tool, your Attack Modifier, and that of your Homunculus, will drop to +6. Similarly, if you still have your All-Purpose Tool and reach Level 5, your PB increased to +3, and your Attack Modifier, for you and your Homunculus, increases from +7 to +8.
