I am very new to DnD and English is not my first language so please be gentle with me :D
I am about to play a Threadborn Bard which I am very excited about. I just ran across a problem: She is a construct. Which, usually I would be like "okay, fine, next problem". But Healing Word and Cure Wounds does specifically not work on constructs.
Mending is a cantrip and takes 1 minute which makes it useless in a fight. But I still have hit dice according to the DnD Beyond character sheet?
So my question is ... how can a threadborn heal or be healed?
There's no specific language in the 2024 versions of healing spells like cure wounds that says they don't work on constructs, and I don't think Threadborn have anything saying they aren't affected by healing spells. So you should be fine

Oh, we're playing the 2014 rules still :D And it says here:
Cure Wounds
Player’s Handbook (2014), pg. 230
A creature you touch regains a number of hit points equal to 1d8 + your spellcasting ability modifier. This spell has no effect on undead or constructs.

As TarodNet suggested, the Crooked Moon sourcebook was made to be used with the 2024 rules. So there are going to be some conflicts if you try to drop a species or subclasses from it into 2014 rules
You should talk to your DM about making sure healing spells work on your character

Yea the 2014 rules where quite harsh on Constructs from a healing perspective, that's why the Warforged race/species are classed as Humanoid instead. And I agree with what the others have said, if your DM allows for a 2024 Construct species in the game then they should also allow for it to be healed just as any other PC would be.
Well, even when you're playing 2014 and you can't benefit from Cure Wounds etc., that only makes the game more interesting and balances the fact, that some spells like Charm Person, Hold Person, etc. don't work on you either! Healing Potions also work on "a character" (2014). There also are enough ways to regain HP or gain temp HP by Fate Gambler (obviously you're playing Crooked Moon, so you can take it), or a party member takes Healer, Inspiring Leader, etc. so don't worry. And, of course you can still heal others, since you're a Bard.

The Crooked moon books have specifally been published for both 2024 and 2014 rules though. And in the character builder you should be able to choose it for both character creations aswell.
Looking in both versions of the books I don't see any differences regarding creature type, and thus I must assume that it was intentional that they are a construct, and that this might mean you can't benefit from a lot of healing spells when playing with the 2014 rules. However, as others have said, you could always talk to your DM if he allows it.

That might be true for the version that the compendium shows. However, I have the pdf's of both the 2014 and 2024 version in my mailbox saying that yes they have been published for both.

As AntonSirius said, the 2024 Cure Wounds spell and similar spells (e.g. Healing Word or Heal) work on any creature type.
As already pointed out, that wasn't the case with the Cure Wounds and, for example, the other spells mentioned.
If I'm not mistaken, Threadborn is a playable species from The Crooked Moon book, so IMO, it makes sense to use the 2024 core rulebooks and spells.
EDIT: or maybe you could ask your DM to allow at least those updated spells.
