As a Moon Druid, whenever you wildshape your AC becomes 13 + wisdom modifier. If you active an animated shield, can you add the +2 to that, or is your AC capped at 13 + Wisdom Modifier? Also, would you add the bonus AC from armour like Hide of the Feral Guardian? Thanks
I don't think the intent of the Moon Druid feature is to cap your AC at 13 + Wisdom. That's a way to calculate your base AC; any bonuses to AC from other effects should still apply to it.
It's always up to the DM to decide whether any particular piece of gear works while in Wild Shape; personally, I think an Animated Shield would work as long as you activated it first before going into Wild Shape. Hide of the Feral Guardian needs to be worn to provide any of its magic benefits, so in that case I'd say probably not.

That's not an issue with this specific armor, one of its benefits is that it still works.
While you are transformed by an effect that replaces any of your game statistics with those of another creature, you have a +1 bonus to melee attack and damage rolls, and you retain the benefits of this armor.

I agree with wagnarokkr. This is similar to the Level 1: Unarmored Defense feature:
While you aren’t wearing armor or wielding a Shield, your base Armor Class equals 10 plus your Dexterity and Wisdom modifiers.
Or Level 3: Draconic Resilience:
Parts of you are also covered by dragon-like scales. While you aren’t wearing armor, your base Armor Class equals 10 plus your Dexterity and Charisma modifiers.
Honestly, it would be better if some errata added the word "base" to Level 3: Circle Forms.
Also, just to add a different scenario, if you were a Level 3 Circle of the Moon / Level 1 Monk, you would need to choose only one way to calculate your AC:
Armor Class
If you have multiple ways to calculate your Armor Class, you can benefit from only one at a time. For example, a Monk/Sorcerer with a Monk’s Unarmored Defense feature and a Sorcerer’s Draconic Resilience feature must choose only one of those features as a way to calculate Armor Class.

Yup, you're right, I missed that.

Yeah I thought it'd be weird for it to cap my AC. Thanks for the reply, been missing out on some AC then lol
