Under 2024 rules, a Cleric using the Thaumaturge Divine Order adds their Wisdom modifier on top of their Intelligence modifier to Arcana and Religion checks. (Druids get a similar feature, but for Arcana and Nature.)
Yeah, Stabbey_TC is correct — if you look at the Cleric Features on page 2 of the PDF you'll see the Thaumaturge feature they're referring to. The +9 is a combination of the character's +2 Intelligence modifier, +4 Wisdom modifier, and +3 proficiency bonus.
Looking at the stat sheet he did exactly what Stabbey suggested. Your player took the thaumaturge divine order at level 1 to add wisdom to religion and arcana checks. This option is in the 2024 rules.
Heya!
Im kinda new as DM and also new in DnD so i have a question about a Cleric and his +9 Arcana Skill.
He may be proficient in that skill but only got a +2 from INT so has summed up a +5. Even if he would be Expert in Arcana he only could have a +8.
The thing is, its all calculated by dnd beyond but i cant follow the calculation to the +9

Is this 2024 rules? What's his Wisdom modifier?
