I've got a question about the new Khoravar race from Forge of the Artificer: Lethargy resistance states that you can automatically succeed on one saving throw 'to avoid the unconscious condition'. Does that mean just for spells and abilities like Sleep and Eyebite, that put you to sleep, or does it mean any saving throw that could possibly knock you unconscious (such as any damaging effect that would reduce you to zero hit points, like a dragon's breath).
It seems painfully middling if it's just the former, and very, very good if it's the latter (which explains the long 'cooldown' on it).

“I will take responsibility for what I have done. [...] If must fall, I will rise each time a better man.” ― Brandon Sanderson, Oathbringer.
It's saving throws against the condition, not against anything else. If the condition is a side effect of damage and not the direct result of the spell or effect, it doesn't apply.
It's based on elven lineage, where elves can't be put to sleep by magic.
I'm very confused where the power-budget of the race went, then. They have a single cantrip (worse than the high elf, who also gets two free leveled spells) a quarter of their magic-sleep-immunity, and...one free interchangeable skill/tool proficiency? They are just worse than playing an elf or a human and flavouring it as a half-elf (like we were told to do in the PHB or DMG, iirc) in every single way.

It's not 1/4 of the elf sleep immunity feature- that feature only works against effects that specifically cause sleep, this effect works against anything that causes the Unconscious condition. Also, getting to respec the skill prof every day is pretty handy for filling different gaps at different points in the campaign. Also, keep in mind they get three spell lists to pull their cantrip from, High Elves get one.
