What happens if you cast the shadow portal spell and the far door opens inside say a wall or other solid material?

I was unfamiliar with the Shadow Portal spell you mentioned, so I went to look it up, and no results.
I tried to just search 'Shadow', to see what came up, and the spell is not listed:

If you saw that spell in a list to choose from on D&D Beyond, it is possible it is a Homebrew Spell, or is in one of the newer 3rd Party books that were just released that I do not have.
Where did you hear of the spell?

The spell says that you create one door in a cliff or tree you can see within 10 feet of you, and it is linked to a "similar portal" within range (200 feet). The use of the word "similar" seems to imply it has to be on the surface of a tree or cliff, just like the portal you create next to you.
I see nothing stating what happens, so it's up to your DM. They might say it works like Dimension Door (that's what I would do), or say that the spell doesn't work and you get shunted back to the first portal after you try to cross it... or something else.
