Regarding Staff making official rulings vs the SAC

I know that the SAC says whatever desigers of the game  says on tweets or in public statements is not RAW.  I would counter that with Crawford's own words from Sage advice back on 6/19/2017.  He specifically, and made it clear: "I am the ONLY person on staff who can make official rulings for Dungeons and Dragons".  Totally his own words, not paraphrased. 

I mean, even if that's the case back in 2017, pretty sure he stepped back a lot for 2024 and has since amicably parted ways with active D&D design, so it doesn't obtain to anything given for the 2024 rules.

It's also sort of circular logic; Crawford declaring himself to be the only authority is only authoritative if you already recognize him as the only authority.

Also, even if he was authorized to make official rulings, this does not mean that he was speaking ex cathedra in every tweet.

Or if he was, that's worse, because he didn't always tweet consistent rulings.

It absolutely is a circular reasoning.
Reminds me of the ontological argument: "God is perfect, what is perfect must exist, so God exists"
Now we have the Crawford version: "Crawford's rulings are always right, he ruled that only he can make rulings, so his rulings cannot be contested, so his rulings are always right"
Crawford doesn't work at WotC anymore, and his rulings aren't valid for 2024 rules. 
But more importantly: Crawford isn't running your game. Your DM is.

Where did Jeremy Crawford state this? It would be nice to get a bit of context.

The public statements of the D&D team, or anyone else at Wizards of the Coast, are not official rulings; they are advice.
