My question for today is: imagine I'm a Beast Master Ranger and I mark an enemy with Hunter's mark. If my pet attacks and hits, can I add that extra d6 to my pet's damage roll too?
Another question: if a criature that has been marked is killed by another player, can I move the Hunter's mark to another creature?
Q1. Not until Ranger Level 11. Hunter's Mark only adds to your own attack damage. At Level 11 the Beast Master gets a new feature that grants the Hunter's Mark damage boost to one attack from the Companion per turn.
Q2. Yes. Regardless of how the previous target dies (reaches 0HP) the caster is then able to use a Bonus Action to apply the Mark to a new target.
