So my party want to use the hallow spell to protect a party member's bed roll with the home brewed feature of untroubled dreams because he is currently freaked out after dying (and being raised) and seeing where he's heading after death. I don't have a problem with it seeing as the wording isn't very specific although it seems that the spell is meant to be cast on the ground. The problem I foresee is if they intend to use it again on other items to gain game breaking buffs. What do y'all think?
Yeah, according to the wording, the target is not a creature or an object, but a specific area. The spell description would have said whether the target was a creature or object.
Have the cleric pray to thon god(dess) for guidance on how to aid the comrade suffering PTSD. Perhaps the DM will allow the cleric to be blessed with the knowledge of the peaceful slumberspell. A few applications of this spell over time should help ease the anxiety and fear.
